2010 Columbus Comedy Festival

The folks over at Wild Goose Creative wanted to celebrate the Columbus comedy scene so they decided to put together a little festival. More specifically, the 2010 Columbus Comedy Festival.

The inaugural event will feature a blend of performances and workshops across the varying disciplines of improv, sketch and stand-up.

The Regime will perform Saturday, February 27 at 7 PM, right after Dinner. Which is perfect because our comedy is like a delicious sorbet for your palate.

Can't Somebody Else Do It?

With our newest revue, The Regime is celebrating one more comedy show for Columbus audiences. After four huge laugh extravaganzas, quite frankly, we're wondering why we don't have our own TV show yet. Where's the love, Hollywood? (And by love, we mean cash.)

Can't Somebody Else Do It? is the second most-asked question by Americans today. It's a thought that's crossed everyone's mind at some point, from Jesus to John McCain. It's also the title of our fifth show, natch.

You're going to love this show so much you're going to want to take it out to dinner followed by a nice drive in the country with the top down. You'll find a nice spot, park and make sweet love to it in the backseat of your automobile. And that's cool. You have our blessing.

MadLab Has A New Home

MadLab Theatre, The Regime's de facto home, will be moving.

MadLab will open the doors to their fresh digs in March 2010.

...Not quite sure where and I don't know just when...

One of our members has left us.

Nate Cockerill had an opportunity in Chicago offered him and wisely accepted.

We will miss him greatly and wish him the best of luck in his Windy City endeavors.

Go get 'em, Nickel.

In Nate's honor, we play two songs. The first, a timeless classic about loss and maybe meeting once again. The second, his favorite song by his favorite singer ever.

You and Me, We Are Done Professionally

The Regime is doing our part to battle the Economic Crisis by presenting you with an entirely new show that takes a look at the mechanics of employment and its impact across all social strata.

Our show is such a tribute to the workingman that you just might think we're Karl Marx.
Sure, we might be risking investigation by the House Un-American Activities Committee in presenting this show but we think the workingman is worth it.

Come join us Friday, May 29 and Saturday, May 30 at MadLab Theatre (105 N. Grant Avenue) to take a laugh at jobs instead of commiserating about them. At least for a little bit, anyway.

Go Tell It On The Mountain! (That Means New Show!)

The Regime has, once again, snookered the crew at MadLab Theatre into letting us ply our hilarious trade at their august organization.

I know what you're thinking:
And you're not alone. Check this out:
Those Koreans aren't cheering the fact that Jin is still alive on Lost. Our appeal is international.

Anyway, to chase away those post-Memorial Day blues, come visit with the 'Gime on Friday, May 29 and Saturday, May 30 for a little thing we like to call making you laugh. It'll be a small, intimate gathering. Just you, us and maybe a roaring fire.
You bring your bad self and we'll bring the sexy.

Of course, we'll also bring the funny. 'Cause that's what you'll be paying for, natch!

More details to follow. Keep your eyes here.
